A Magical Moment for Özge & Philipp in The Netherlands

Beneath the draping branches of a towering willow tree and the late summer heat, Özge and Philipp celebrated their love for one another in the beautiful, natural backdrop of the Dutch countryside. With white, flowing silks wrapped around the magical tree’s trunk, and flourishing, colourful bouquets placed on either side, the subtle but perfect detailing brought out the true, pre-existing beauty of the hotel’s gardens, leaving the bride, groom, and their guests to lose themselves in the fairytale-esque surroundings of the wedding day.

“I think the ceremony was the most special part for me,” blushes bride Özge. “This was the first time that I saw everybody. And then, they were all looking at me with such lovely eyes and smiles, and some of them were even crying. It's just so nice to see everybody at the same time.” The ceremony quickly turned emotional for everyone – bride, bridesmaids, sisters and mothers all bursting into tears at one point or another! This sweet display of emotion was just another reminder of how much care and compassion was present on Özge and Philipp’s special day, and how much their guests appreciated being involved.

A ceremony large enough for an amazing party yet still intimate enough to be able to catch up with every guest was perfect for Özge and Philipp’s wedding day… “We had in the end 110 adults and around 10 kids,” explains the bride. “We started with a list of 150, then we went to 130, and then 110… It is mainly because of my husband! He has a huge family, and he is the most social person in the world, and has too many friends!” Once Philipp’s guest count had reached the lowest it could go, they were left with a lovely amount of people, which made for a celebration to create enough memories to last a lifetime! The blend of the bride’s smaller Turkish family and the groom’s larger German family meant that everyone was able to be involved, and both families could enjoy their loved ones’ special wedding.

The bride’s unique wedding gown was the star of the show – the flowing, sheer fabric giving off an enchanting beauty, drawing out the magic of the Dutch landscape around them. “One of the best wedding decisions I made was that dress,” gushes the bride. “My wedding dress was something that I really loved, and it was super fitting to my personality. It added something extra special to the whole day for me.” Bride Özge knew exactly what she was looking for right from the offset! Dress shopping all over the world, from Turkey to The Netherlands, nothing quite felt right… Until it did!

“I must have tried on over ten dresses in the end! But even then, I couldn’t forget that one gown… I gave a call to my sister and said, ‘can you go and buy that dress?’ just so I could try it on one more time, and I’m so grateful that I did.” Groom Philipp had a similar experience when hunting down his tuxedo – checking out tailors in Germany and The Netherlands to no avail, until he found the perfectly tailored, sophisticated suit of his dreams all the way in Turkey!

The emotional, heartfelt ceremony was an experience for both families and all of their friends to remember for a lifetime. Full of little touches, thoughtful details, and humorous suggestions, the fun-loving couple celebrated their dream wedding day in the only way they knew how – by having the time of their lives!
