Press Launch of The UKWHA

In a dazzling prelude to the grandeur of our Awards Event, Weddings & Honeymoons Media hosted an exclusive press event attended by esteemed guests from the media, PR world and wedding industry. The afternoon unfolded at the exquisite Century Club in the heart of London, offering an enchanting preview of what's to come at the inaugural gala event on February 29, 2024, set at the stunning Orangery at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

The press launch was elevated by an array of talents, ranging from the soothing voice of Seline Alidina (@selinealidina) and accompanied by the tunes of Taliesin Knight (@tali_tubby). Together with the duo, the afternoon unfolded with palm readings from the third-generation palmist and tarot consultant Gary Markwick (@g_markwick). We also had a few surprises in store, such as live flash theatre romantic moments recreated by the talented Claudia Zita Kurucz and Ben Galvin from an Immersive Acting Company.

Finally, to delight both our palates and our Instagram feed, the Italian culinary expert and contestant at The Great British Bake Off, The Professionals, Nicoletta Loiacono (@niky_loia), created a spectacular cake to stun us all! And, everything was elegantly captured by the lenses of Katy Gorniak Photography, a London-based photographer.

Our team at Weddings & Honeymoons Media announced the first-ever United Kingdom Weddings & Honeymoons Awards and captivated the audience by sharing the incredible partners of the event, starting with our enchanting host Louise Roe. Renowned event planner Charlotte Ricard-Quesada will spearhead the event management side and style direction, generously supported by Paula Rooney’s incredible floral compositions. Adding to the allure, the talented Cynthia Grafton-Holt will showcase her new bridal collection!

Soon after, our Commercial Director kindly touched upon the incredible sponsorship packages before introducing the guests to the incredible charity we partnered with for our Awards Event, The Include Project. We had the pleasure to welcome Alex from their team and she took us through the wonderful work they do for people with communication needs. We are extremely proud to have The Include Project as our selected charity for our Awards and everyone attending our special night is encouraged to kindly make a £20 donation. 

The highlight of our panel was surely the WIN Your Wedding Competition announcement, a life-changing prize that will transform one couple’s dream into reality by offering them a £50,000 wedding! Surprisingly for everyone, we had one of the engaged couples share their story with us and inform the room why it’s so important to them to win the prize! And, speaking about prizes, spabreaks.com kind-heartedly provided a romantic break for two to one lucky guest at the prestigious retreat Down Hall Hotel & Spa. 

The press launch event, designed to offer a glimpse into the grandeur and magic of the forthcoming United Kingdom Weddings & Honeymoons Awards, not only met but surpassed the envisioned success. With members of the press and different industries coming together, the event turned out to be a great platform for different industries to mingle and share thoughts.
