Style Your Own Bohemian Festival Wedding

Summer brings long warm nights and good times, perfect for your bohemian festival wedding, here's how to get the look…

Our focus for this blog is how to style your very own bohemian festival-themed wedding, think creamy neutrals, rattan textures and outdoor-friendly materials. It is a theme we are seeing sweep the wedding world, combining the laidback elegance of Ibiza with the charm of a festival, bohemian is here and it is here to stay. From florals and grasses to fabrics and colours, this is how we recommend nailing the look for your special day.

Bohemian and festival looks lend themselves to coastal colours, emulating the waters they are usually situated near to. Utilise linen textures for your napkins to match your groomsmen's styles, as well as tapered candles to add height and elegance to your tablescape. Your candles are a great way to add some pops of colour to your neutral theme, blend pastel pinks and blues with brighter pops of green and yellow to add that festival flair.

As your festival themed wedding is likely to be taking place outside, it is important to consider how you will light the occasion. Lanterns are a great option as they set the mood whilst ensuring your guests can find their way around the venue! Opt for battery-powered candles for a re-usable option or even better, invest in some solar powered lanterns or fairy lights to bring some magic to your decor whilst also saving the planet.

Stationery is one of the most creative places to inject some personality. Gold embossed natural paper gives a rustic yet chic edge and pops against rattan chargers on your tablescape. Combining this with gold features such as candleholders and cutlery helps to lift the neutral palette and add some dimension to a pretty one-dimensional colour range.

Finally, when it comes to florals, keep it natural! Sprays of pampas grass are an efficient and stylish way to fill space and keep on-trend with your boho plans. Jasmine and wildflowers really pop with this neutral colour scheme, adding height and also the opportunity to trail from tables so you can play with levels. Dried flowers are a sustainable choice as you can keep them long after your special day and gift to your guests as a keep-sake favour at the end.
