Say 'I Boo' For Jaimie & Rachael's Haunting Halloween Wedding

Rachael popped the question around Halloween, knowing how much Jaimie loves this time of year: “I proposed in the national concert hall as it was the place we had our first official date, and with me having worked there previously, I was able to work with managers and staff to help set up the scene. I also arranged for some family and friends to meet us after." Jaimie had a double surprise for a very emotional proposal!

The couple wanted a private venue to enjoy the day with loved ones without any interruptions. They planned the wedding during Covid, and it was difficult to do much of the wedding sourcing online, but they managed and ended up with great suppliers and an amazing day: “We were so selective with who we picked as our suppliers, and also friends went above and beyond to make our dreams a reality."

"Jaimie adores flowers and wanted an autumnal and winter look with a sunflower in the centre as an ode to her dearly departed friend Aífe. Her flowers were made by a family friend Margaret who is not a florist but just did the most incredible job!”

Rachael had always wanted a traditional style of gown, a memorable and dramatic look fit for a princess, but instead of traditional white, wanted to pay homage to a favourite colour and opted for a black dress: “I have been watching wedding shows for years and loved the idea of a big gown but never sat well with the white dress as my favourite colour is black. I was afraid just getting a regular black dress wouldn't look like a wedding gown, so I was delighted when I found that Pronovias had a beautiful gown in black.”

Rachael and Jaimie made sure their best friends shined through their big day. They wanted their dogs to be present, and shared evertlasting memories with them. When asked about their most special moment, they said: “One of the best parts was when we were reunited with our dogs Kevin and Doris!”
