Poppy & Oli's Floral Wedding at Wilderness Reserve

Eternal Flame

After Oli’s romantic bonfire-lit proposal, this happy couple could picture themselves tying the knot at the very same location: Wilderness Reserve. "Oli organised the most beautiful bonfire experience and having been shown around the estate that day, he asked me if it was a venue I could possibly see us getting married in, to which I said yes! He then said ‘Let’s put those plans into action', got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! The rest was a bit of a blur!" The pair couldn't wait to plan their whimsical wedding weekend for 150 guests in the grounds.

Flower Power

Poppy was drawn to the floral details on her Mira Zwillinger dress, echoing the natural surrounds of Wilderness Reserve. “I’d had my eye on Mira dresses for a while and knew that kind of style would be perfect for a wedding at Wilderness Reserve,” smiles Poppy. “I had a particular design in mind, so the amazing team at Browns Bride had it sent over from the US for me to try on. I fell in love immediately and knew it was the one for me. I was so excited for our wedding day to finally show Oli, as I knew he would never have guessed the type of dress I was going for!”

Music For The Soul

Poppy and Oli celebrated their nuptials over an event-filled weekend, with Empire of Sound performing on the Saturday and Royal Roaming taking to the stage on Sunday. “Our band learnt our first dance and sung it live – it was amazing! We picked ‘Fast Lane’ by Rationale as it always reminds me of Oli dancing in the kitchen when he is cooking, completely in his element,” reflects Poppy. “My Sophia Webster wedges were also an absolute lifesaver – I didn’t sink on the grass and I didn’t even feel my feet until midway through the night dancing!”

Magic Moments

All the little moments made the day so magical. "Oli and I took ourselves to one side and just watched everyone having a great time. Seeing friends who had never met getting on was really special. I also loved the time we came into the tent for dinner and everyone was banging their tambourines and dancing to the music. I knew having tambourines would be fun but when 150 people shake them together, there is definitely something amazing about it!"

Jet, Set, Go 

After the wedding, the newlyweds jetted off for a minimoon in Lisbon. “Getting away from it all and switching off after the wedding was amazing, we were both exhausted! Our friends were getting married in Colombia six weeks later, so we also extended that trip into a honeymoon for us. We love getting caught up in the thrill of weddings!”

The glowing couple are whisked away in a vintage car to begin their European honeymoon!
