A Seasonal Styled Shoot at Shottle Hall

Come rain or shine, Shottle Hall is full of picturesque areas and huge windows that flood the event spaces with natural light. The talented group of creatives behind this photo shoot at Shottle Hall in Belper, Derbyshire, made the most of the transitional season with regal navy and gold details indoors as well as vibrant portraits around the estate. Captured by Lois Photography and The Agnew Film Company, and brought to life by a collective of top-rated Derbyshire wedding suppliers, the unique celestial-inspired styled shoot is designed to complement any time of year.

A Bold Palette of Blue & Gold

Helena from Pretty Hearts Stationery chose the majestic blue and gold colourway for the welcome sign, place names and table numbers, reflecting the cerulean star-studded ceiling in the main hall. With this scheme in mind, Gemma White Weddings & Events created a continuous story throughout the reception area with dramatic azure tablescapes, navy tulle chair covers and golden venue décor. The four-tiered cake by Claire Taylor mixed blue marbling with white icing and gold leaf details for an eye-catching display. Adding a final floral flourish, Enchanted Rose provided a bridal bouquet and buttonhole using purple-blue anemones, thistles and eucalyptus, with contrasting white roses and pampas fronds to tie in with the table centrepieces.

Glowing Natural Beauty

Sam from Life Of A Beauty Girl created a stunning bridal makeup look for the styled shoot with a dewy alabaster base, a hint of blush and a shimmering highlight, which looks radiant in the photographs. Rosie Moore Hairdressing complemented the natural feel with a soft wavy updo that framed the clustered pearl headband beautifully. With makeup and hair complete, Michelle from Allison Louise Bridal styled model Leah in three gorgeous wedding dresses by Rebecca Ingram, Maggie Sottero, and a strapless satin gown from their own in-house collection.

Stylish & Sophisticated

Groom Russ wore a handsome trio of tweed suits in grey, blue and oatmeal tones from Jon Paul Menswear. The dapper three-piece suits were tailored perfectly and matched the colour scheme with contrasting ties and pocket squares. The models smiled effortlessly in front of the lens and looked every inch the part. From laughing together in the library room to blowing Shropshire Petals confetti for a memorable alfresco photograph, the whole styled shoot came together seamlessly and the team had a lot of fun along the way!
