Malta Wedding - a Mediterranean Getaway
Jonathan and Sean married in regal, romantic gardens, in a classy ceremony fit for a prince (or two) ...
Planner: Sarah Young Events
Dream Come True
Elegant, historical architecture and vibrant, blooming trees enveloped Seán and Jonathan on their special day, celebrating their love for one another as their closest family and friends surrounded them. Intertwined within the charm of the romantic gardens specially chosen for their ceremony, the grooms’ wedding day was exactly what they’d hoped and dreamed for during their nine years together. “It was everything we wanted and more,” one of the grooms gushed. “Working with Sarah Young and her team was the best decision we made.
Enjoying the Moment
The couple got ready for their big day in a large, luxury suite, with their groomsmen and grooms-women – a relaxing, calm morning of listening to music, popping champagne, and enjoying the views of the endless, stunning ocean. “After a detailed run-through with Sarah Young and the team a few days before,” a groom explains, “we felt really relaxed that everything was in control, so all we had to do was show up, get married and enjoy the day!”
Groom Elegance
Considering the vast décor of the venue, the grooms wanted to keep a more neutral palette for their outfits as to complement their surroundings. They both stunned in navy, three-piece tuxedos and cropped trousers, with matching dickie-bows and polished brogues to finish off the handsome looks.
Fairytale Surroundings
Breathtaking elements from the heart of the Mediterranean’s rich culture and history enhanced their beautiful wedding – pairing perfectly with the thriving nature and wildlife of the villa’s surroundings. “The venue stood out for many reasons,” the grooms recalled. “We felt the stunning baroque nymphaeum would be an incredible backdrop for our ceremony; the gardens were beautifully manicured and would be ideal for dinner and dancing, and the house itself was beautiful... Overall, from the moment we started researching venues, this was the one to beat. Once we viewed it in real life, we fell in love and the decision to move forward was easy!”
A Romantic Celebration
With no specific theme in mind other than bringing out the natural beauty of their venue, the grooms wanted to create a refined celebration with simple yet classy touches – opting for what they called a ‘true Jonathan & Seán event’ that represented both their individual personalities and their loving relationship at the forefront.
