A Tropical Hideaway for Lauren & Sanjit's Mexican Wedding Day

Hidden in the flourishing, rich greenery of Yucatan’s wilderness, Lauren and Sanjit’s gorgeous wedding took place under the tropical sun and a clear, blue sky. With 115 guests - a mix of their family and friends, who travelled from the States to be a part of the couple’s special day - the bride and groom celebrated their love in front of the most important people in their lives. “We wanted a relaxed feel, surrounded by nature in a tropical environment,” the bride explains. “Inviting all of our favourite people really helped this dream come true.”

The ceremony itself took place in a sun-drenched opening between native, Mexican trees, in front of an arch of vibrant leaves and jungle flowers. Charming wooden chairs and stunning Persian rugs lining the aisle enhanced the wedding’s fairytale ambience, decorated with fan palm leaves… “Having our wedding in Yucatan was such a unique experience for us,” gushes the bride. “It was truly the best decision ever!” The pair settled on a palette of deep reds, greens and browns - the warm colours harmonising beautifully with the venue’s own furniture and floral decor, bringing out the nature surrounding them.

During the ceremony, bride Lauren looked regal in a coral sari - beautiful, traditional jewellery, such as her stunning maang tikka, adding to her glamorous glow. Groom Sanjit was dapper in his deep blue suit - pops of colour in his fun tie and exotic boutonnière adding splashes of personality to his look. The bride later looked enchanting in her slip dress - a flowing, floral-embroidered overlay giving a bohemian feel and fitting in seamlessly with the ceremony’s decoration - paired with dainty jewellery and a picture perfect up-do.

Prior to the relaxed aura of their wedding day, the couple’s preparation process was also a seamless, calm experience. Not having to travel the far distance for any of the planning, all was instead handled with ease remotely - allowing the bride and groom to focus on each other, and their excitement for the wedding to come. “The quality, professionalism, imagination, and work ethic of every vendor was unrivalled!” With every aspect of their dream day falling into place, the lovely couple celebrated with minimal stresses or worries.

The soft glow of string lights reflecting against palm trees, and the tropical table decor looking like something straight out of a Disney film, Lauren and Sanjit shared a wedding fit for celebrities! A champagne tower, churros, fireworks, and an open bar were just a few of the many details incorporated into their special day - their guests able to mingle, enjoy delicious food, and make once-in-a-lifetime memories with the people they care about most. Although this is just the beginning of their journey together, the bride and groom won’t be forgetting their magical, bliss-filled day any time soon.
