Caribbean Charm On The Dancefloor For Niki & Nino

Ancient, crumbling ruins enwrapped Niki and Nino’s charming ceremony, highlighted by the colourful nature of St. Lucia and witnessed by all of their dearest friends and family. “We felt strongly about picking a venue and location that was unique and not a beach…” explains the bride. “The main reason we picked St. Lucia was because it is a very mountainous island compared to other Caribbean islands. We instantly fell in love.” White florals and vibrant, green leaves adorned the building remains, dotted all over the ceremony for little finishing touches and adding further elegance to the natural beauty of the surroundings.

The bride and groom hosted an intimate celebration, with fifty-five close guests travelling from all over the world to spend time with them on their special day. “Most guests stayed for the week, and we had hung out with them and saw them plenty before the actual day,” the bride smiles. “But seeing everyone there together in one place and knowing that people made the journey just for us was extremely overwhelming and emotional… But in a good way!” Finally able to spend time with all of their favourite people in the same place and creating endless memories to last everyone forever was just one of the many special moments of the couple’s wedding day, and it made the whole experience that bit more personal and touching.

The bride looked chic and beautiful in her A-Line, layered dress – the gorgeous, feminine design complementing perfectly the soft, romantic ambiance of the rural backdrop. “We really wanted to lean into the juxtaposition of wearing such formal attire in a nature-focused venue. I therefore wanted a dramatic dress that could allow me to take some fun, artsy photos in the water!” The groom looked smart and traditional in his black suit – a matching bowtie and white boutonniere detail allowing his ensemble to blend in with the floral décor scattered around the venue. Together, the pair looked classical and timeless, and certainly enabled a visually interesting and effective contrast with their surroundings!

Nino and Niki’s wedding day was the perfect opportunity for the most important people in their lives to spend relaxing time together in a lush, tropical environment, immersing themselves in the rich nature of St. Lucia and the funky, personalised decorations of the wedding ceremony (such as the hot pink signage!). The bride and groom ensured that everyone involved in the celebration had the times of their lives, while also enjoying the beginning of their new chapter as a couple.
