Basking in the early summer heat of the Mexican sun, Bri and J.D.’s stunning ceremony took place just steps away from the glistening, turquoise ocean. Smooth sand beneath their guests’ feet and beautiful palm leaves fluttering above, the couple’s closest friends and family watched on as they said ‘I Do’ – a special moment treasured by all involved. “It was very cool to bring all of our best friends and family on this vacation with us,” the bride explains. “We were able to watch them all get to know each other, and it was heart-warming to see everyone mesh so well.” Seeing everyone dear to them finally spend time with one another was an emotional experience for the bride and groom, filling them with gratitude towards the opportunity which made it possible: their wedding day.

Bri and J.D. wanted an intimate, special ceremony of around 60 guests, so they could share their exotic holiday with the people they love most. The looming palm trees and lush beaches were slightly different from the Oklahoma City scenery the bride and groom were used to… So, the chance to celebrate their love while surrounded by the picturesque Mexican landscape, and in the beautiful Akiin Tulum beach resort, was a blessing them and their guests alike couldn’t wait to delve into. “This venue gave our guests the full Tulum experience, and it was unbelievable.”

The bride herself stunned in her flowy, elegant Galia Lahav gown – a gorgeous two-piece outfit fit for a princess, enhancing the natural beauty of the beach behind. Initially hesitant towards the dress, nearly skipping her fitting appointment to search for other options, the bride was talked into giving it one more try by her little sister… Which, after trying it on and falling in love, turned out to be the perfect decision. “Wearing the dress was amazing,” gushes the bride. “I loved running across the street of Tulum barefoot, in my dress, to get in the shuttle to go to the venue and seeing the faces of the people in Tulum looking at my dress. It’s really an unbelievable piece, and I’m so glad I didn’t choose another!”

Unique memories made and unforgettable moments shared, Bri and J.D.’s stunning ceremony was a day to remember. With their friends and family celebrating alongside them, special vendors and teams helping to make their dream come to life, and the undoubtable love between the special couple at the forefront, the beginning of their story as a married couple could not have been any more beautiful.
